| Name: | Draco Amadeus Black Malfoy | |||||||||
| Bio: | Known as Aged 21 Of the [former] House Slytherin Presently employed by Legilimens! The Advertising Group, part of INV Global Media Holding the position of the Creative Director Suave. Elegant. Sophisticated. Smart. Cunning. Logical. Resourceful. Circumstantial loyalty. These and more are all embodied in the person of Draco Malfoy at the age of 21, who often goes by the name 'that insufferably smarmy bastard.' He fancies himself above the faceless horde and isn't afraid to let people know it with his big mouth and an even bigger ego, the latter of which was, to his own dismay and the relief of his companions, bashed down a notch during the war - and at the hands of his own side no less. Descended from old money crème de la crèmes of society, there is a certain charm to his darkly detached Byronic hero persona and his taste for finer things in life...if you can bear to look over his self-centred arrogance, that is. Some find his undying confidence unnerving, while others find it downright irritating, but that Draco remains very much a Malfoy (more commonly known as hubris in excess) in spite of the profound impact of the war remains an incontestable fact. Equipped with a sharp tongue, a knack for sarcasm, wit and a business sense honed to perfection, he loves to bait and argue simply for the sake of arguing. No longer the blind follower that the sixth year Slytherin scrambling to make his first kill once was, Draco in spite of all his faults is a degree more human and less of an insufferable blood purist parrot rah-rah-ing for genocide, though he is still utterly convinced that purebloods are obviously superior. The fact that the rest of these morons can't see that is a source of perpetual wonder for him, who has eventually learnt to keep his less popular opinions to himself. Of course, the said 'less popular opinion' has a nasty habit of slipping out at the worst of times, for which he is not sorry in the least, thank you. But well...even bundimuns have their uses, so why not muggles? Besides, violence didn't exactly turn out to be Draco's cup of tea. As for Harry and the rest of those do gooder Gryffindors, he continues to make a point of taunting them with a vengeance because they make him all the more irate with what he perceives to be their "let's feel sorry for the Slytherins, they're not so bad" stance. Secretly, though, he finds them just the slightest touch more tolerable. As much as Draco pretends that the war had no long-term influence on him whatsoever, that is not the case. When Nyx blankets the world in darkness and shadow, Hypnos hunts him down like a ferret with horrific images that would churn the stomachs of the most battle hardened of aurors. Night, therefore, is a time for Draco to dabble in the Seven Deadly Sins in order to escape the nightmarish thoughts that fill his head. He loves women, he loves his bottles of fine wine, he loves the thrill of gambling, he loves picking fights (of the verbal variety, for the most part), everyone agrees that he's unbearably cocky and while he is inclined to take his wealth for granted, he really is quite fond of spending it. Always appearing as though he has just stepped out of the tailor's, the "superior-than-thou, heathen" mannerism remains very much an inseperable component of his attitude. J. K.
